Red Belmoral Relay 5'93 and Dam

In 1989 Darrell A.I'd four daughters of Belmoral Star to RED BIEBER DESIGN 1325, and in 1990 four heifers were born - three red and one black - that was the start of our red herd.   We purchased two cows at the Red Top Dispersal at Lloydminster, Red Miss River Top 22U and Red Miss River Top 8U, along with their calves at foot.  8U's bull calf was the high gaining bull at the Saskatchewan Hereford Centre, and sold for $3700.   22U's calf is still in the herd - she produced 13 good progeny, many of which were top sellers.   Then 8U was bred to Oakridge Alexander and produced the bull, Red Belmoral Alexander 10'93, sold for $5400 at the Brandon Keystone Sale to Moose Creek where he left many high sellers.

From Moose Creek we got two Flame daughters, Red Moose Creek 16U (Relay's mother) and Red Moose Creek 4U. nbsp;Using Leachman Frontrunner we got Red Belmoral Relay 5'93, plus a daughter from Bieber Design.  The daughter, Red Belmoral Lass 14'90 stood first in the calf class at Agribition, and is still in the herd.  Relay was second place in the calf class, and was also the heaviest yearling when shown at Agribition.  The commercial man couldn't get enough of his sons - easy calving, exploding growth and money making calves.  He is still used through A.I.

We also purchased cows from the Cumnock and Cutarm herds.  Red Cutarm Beatrice 109A gave us the second high gaining bull at Douglas Test Station, Brandon, Manitoba, selling for $4200.  From Riverdale we got the good Riverdale Monarchy 49E - high gaining cattle.   We have daughters in the herd from two home bred sons.  Another Red Bieber Design daughter, Belmoral Pride Lady 11'90, bred to Red DKK Dream Catcher 407 produced Red Belmoral Catcher 3'00, our calving ease sire with explosive growth.  Also Red QLC Quantock 305 403J was used for one year, but we had the misfortune to lose him.

Now we have Red Angus Acres Knight 144M, a dark red stout bull with a half outcross black pedigree.  He is leaving real thick sons and daughters that push the scale down at weaning time.  We are also using a Red Badlands Bonus 702 son from a Sawyer Brown bred cow.  He was used on the heifers in 2005.  Our up and coming sire is a home bred Bodacious son from a cow bought from Riley's Red Angus in Manitoba - a No Equal daughter out of a Heaven Bust cow.  That makes for two or three shots of calving ease.   He is Red Belmoral's Eagle 206'04, and he topped the feed efficient test at Cattleland Feedyard in Alberta in February 2005.
